Our client is a commercial and residential construction contractor for numerous Fortune 500 companies. This role requires extensive travel and the ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors, laborers, and other stakeholders effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of construction processes and industry standards.
What You'll Do: As a Traveling Construction Superintendent with our company, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects at multiple sites, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources for assigned projects i.e, contractors and subcontractors
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials and clients
- negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable orders, bids for projects
- maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and address client concerns effectively.
- Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by project schedules.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
