Form of workT-O Engineers, an Ardurra Company is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Spokane, WA team!
Required Qualifications
- Experience reviewing and understanding design and construction drawings
- Knowledge of standard construction practices
- Knowledge of the APWA, AWWA and other industry standards
- Good communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Experience working in active construction sites around large equipment
- IBC Certifications a plus, but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge and experience with the administration of Federal-Aid projects
- Proven ability to self-direct and lead others
Key Responsibilities
- Inspects all phases of contractor work, procedures, and progress to assure compliance with plans, specifications, and standards; supervises and performs inspections of subdivisions, commercial development, municipal projects, roadways and utility projects, bridges, vertical construction, and earthwork.
- Computes, reviews and verifies pay quantities, computations, and materials; reviews compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions;
- Prepares/reviews project diaries, testing data, reports and summaries; prepares drafts for project correspondence;
- Works closely with and coordinates activities with utility companies, local governments, state agencies, clients, property owners, engineers and contractors with field changes and any non-compliance concerns.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to navigate various locations and settings of the company.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle.
- Ability to travel for site visits, client meetings, etc.
Salary Range
$55,000 to $70,000 (DOE)
