Position Overview
The Configuration Manager is responsible for integrating change management activities into project plans and applying a structured methodology and lead change activities. This position is a short-term hire anywhere from 30 to 120 days and is on a 100% TDY basis.

Responsibilities / Duties
- Describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
- Responsible for configuration planning.
- Evaluate and ensure usability readiness.
- Track and report issues.
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor lifecycle progress.
- Identify and maintain the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation.
- Responsible for configuration change control.
- Support the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
- Responsible for configuration status accounting.
- Document and coordinate changes to the company's system configurations.
- Review and implement requested changes.
- Develop documentation guidelines.
- Track all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration.
- Evaluate needs for new and revised systems, identify possible improvements, and make recommendations for purchase of new hardware and software.
- Develop protocol for measurement of results and identification of problem areas.
- Oversee revision history of configuration changes.
- Responsible for configuration audits.
- Support audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software.
- Support the software quality assurance process audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- BS Degree in related field
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of Configuration Manager experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
- Familiar with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
- IAT-III Certification
- Valid Security+ CE
- CE cert required based on CM function being performed.
- ITIL Foundations within 6 months
- US Citizen
- Must have unexpired US Passport valid for a minimum of 2 or more years.
- Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to stay organized and manage time.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Project, TEAMS and PowerPoint.
- Possess good analytical skills and be detail oriented.
Physical Demands
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally and walk short distances.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
- Able to travel on long flights.
