CONFIGURATION CENTER MANAGER

The production team leader work will be performed locally in our Frederick, MD facility. Position is in a production warehouse environment. Typical work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (however sometimes overtime and/or weekend hours are required when necessary). Must have reliable transportation.
All candidates must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, as well as drug screening/testing.
He/she serves as the manager and has responsibility for 10-20 employees. Individuals are responsible for completing sales orders involving configuring, imaging, processing systems. Systems include but are not limited to laptops, desktops, tablets, servers, and other computing devices. The Configuration Center Manager is responsible for maintaining the highest degree of quality while also an appropriate pace of work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, management, and training to all configuration and distribution hub technicians to process sales orders within SLA.
- Document new processes and create repeatable training practices
- Constantly monitors technicians as well as projects to maintain 100% accuracy on sales orders.
- Works with infrastructure and engineering teams to improve configuration processes.
- Delivers with a commitment to excellence and a dissatisfaction with the status-quo.
- Provides training and coaching on job skills, safety policies, rules, and regulations, as well as other company policies and standards- Leads by example.
- Engages employees in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Completes all reporting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and works with Production Management to resolve any equipment inefficiencies. Ensures correct reporting of production and adherence to inventory procedures.
- Effectively handles all emergencies and reports incidents to appropriate personnel. Investigates immediately and informs Human Resources.
- Coordinates production activities with sales, planning, warehouse, procurement/operations, facilities/maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of resources and equipment.
- Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
- Develops positive relationships with internal staff and departments.
- Provides effective input for potential new hires, also engages candidates during the interview process.
- Effectively manages all employee relations matters and conflict resolution and ensures associates comply with attendance policies.
- Ensures focus and accountability, facilitates collaboration, continuous improvement, and achievement of results.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Office including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of computers, imaging, configuration, BIOS preferably windows and chrome OS.
- Ability to learn technical troubleshooting and other issues that may occur with windows and chrome-based systems.
- Ability to manage large teams and personnel with a mix of experienced and new individuals.
- Strong focus with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute.
- Intellectual and analytical horsepower with ability to apply problem solving techniques and take on business challenges.

Physical Requirements:

· Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate both written and orally in a concise, polite, and respectful manner.
· Able to move pallets/boxes with the use of a jack/hand truck
Experience & Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering or another related field is preferred.
· 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
· 2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
