About the Role : Our client is interested in identifying and hiring a highly motivated and experienced Comptroller to lead financial operations. In this role you'll be a key strategic partner, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of financial activities while mentoring and developing the financial services team (4-6 employees).
Responsibilities:

• Financial Management :
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including monthly close, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to provide accurate financial projections.
• Financial Reporting :
  • Lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports according to GAAP principles.
  • Work closely with external auditors to facilitate smooth and efficient audits.
  • Manage communication of financial information to various stakeholders, including senior management, board of directors, and investors.
• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor two Accounts Payable Coordinators and two Accounts Receivable Coordinators.
  • Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment within the finance team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks by team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable leadership role within a multi-entity organization.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
• Proven track record of financial reporting accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Proficient in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Excel).
