As a Business Analyst, you will use your business analysis capabilities to work within the core of our Court Operations and Official Records departments, i.e. Circuit/County Civil, Circuit/County Criminal, Unified Family Court, Recording and Records Services, to improve and streamline processes to help our office meet its objectives and reach goals. You will also support business information systems that provide efficient solutions to a variety of issues across multiple departments.

Examples of Essential Functions
- Coordinates and participates in problem resolution, particularly when the problem involves mission-critical areas.
- Acts as subject matter expert to system users by relating business/functional requirements to system capabilities; acts as a functional technical coordinator for large projects; acts as liaison to IT and other county agencies as necessary.
- Performs systems research; prepares system flow diagrams; designs forms and specifications; develops system procedures; designs system enhancements and makes system updates.
- Collects and analyzes the project's business requirements and prepares accurate and detailed functional requirements specification documents, and user interface guides.
- Defines, analyzes, and documents workflows; confers with project staff to outline work plan, to assign duties and responsibilities to ensure that business requirements will be met.
- Assists in new systems and/or system upgrade evaluation, planning, deployment, testing and support.
- Coordinates business units/groups who test, validate, evaluate new or upgraded applications and functions to determine issues in services and software; assists business units/groups in the design and execution of test scripts and scenarios.
- Creates and maintains user accounts; assigns applications to users while being mindful of and informing management of licensing requirements for the software requested.
- Prepares and justifies recommendations for new systems and procedures, or changes to existing systems and procedures.
- Reviews change and enhancement requests and works with stakeholders to determine and assign priorities.
- Monitors system and user performances and recommends changes to improve efficiency.
- Logs and tracks system support tickets and change management requests through resolution.
- Works closely with Information Technology to support and promote operational needs.
Typical Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience as outlined below; or in lieu of bachelor's degree, must have four (4) years of direct work experience and three (3) years of supplemental work experience that includes a working knowledge of Court Management Systems.
- Experience and working knowledge of Court Maintenance Systems, Official Records Systems, and other supplemental or support software integrated within these systems preferred.
- Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint 2010 and SQL strongly preferred.
