Overview

Reports to:                   Assistant Director, Compliance and Risk Management

 

Location:                      305 Seventh Avenue, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10001

 

Hours:                          35 Hours/Week; Non-Exempt

 

Salary:                           $50,000-$55,000/Year

 

Job Summary: The Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for providing high level data and administrative support to the Compliance and Risk Management Department. 

 

Major Duties:

  • Assists in the review of all incident reports, checking for critical incidents requiring immediate attention.
  • Follows up with program and support staff for missing details or key information as it relates to incidents and corrective action plans.
  • Responsible for identifying and submitting all critical incidents to appropriate government funders and oversite agencies in required time frame.
  • Coordinates all Justice Center and government funder investigations, gathering all requested documents and evidence as needed from internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for tracking information around incident reporting, and reports information to necessary stakeholders.
  • Provides inter-departmental support for the use, dissemination and sharing of data and other relevant information for Risk Management meetings.
  • Prepares necessary materials for all Risk Management meetings including the compilation of data into PowerPoint slides.
  • Prints, scans, categorizes, data enters, and files all incident related documents.
  • Maintains digital files for meeting minutes and correspondence.
  • Act as liaison between program and government funders regarding the submission of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
  • Coordinates with insurance broker to obtain all requested Certificates of Insurance.
  • Submits all critical incidents to insurance companies and acts as liaison between insurance company and program regarding follow-up questions to claims submitted.
  • Assists the department with the annual insurance renewal submission including coordinating follow up from internal stakeholders.
  • Provides input on data and other needs as they relate to the implementation of Salesforce.
  • Responsible for taking minutes during all Compliance and Risk Management meetings and distributes in timely manner to all attendees.
  • Coordinates and schedules all meetings and trainings for Risk Management team.
  • Co-facilitates department trainings and updates materials as needed to ensure compliance in reporting.
  • Will serve as GSS’s ACS LGBTQ+ point person, responsible for submitting all LGBQT+ related incidents in ACS programs to ACS, and will also serve on the GSS LGBTQ+ workgroup

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, crosscheck, and validate information.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining databases and managing workflow from multiple sources.
  • Ability to maintain the utmost discretion and integrity when handling confidential matters.
  • Strong judgment with an ability to evaluate and respond appropriately to sensitive/urgent situations.
  • Possess sound decision making skills with the ability to research and provide solutions to data conflict and discrepancies.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Working knowledge of Connections, EVOLV and Salesforce desirable.
  • Ability to use computer literacy to quickly adapt to changing technology.
  • Experience providing administrative support to executive level positions.
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal skills.
  • Highly organized, efficient and independently driven to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines and/or output expectations.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, gracious and courteous customer service skills and ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to be flexible.
