Job Description:
This role is responsible for day-to-day administration of Arctic Glacier compensation program in accordance with regulatory guidelines and adherence to our compensation philosophy.
The Analyst will administer the Company's incentive programs, including calculating commissions/bonuses each pay period. This position may calculate other financial components each payroll. Responsible for building and maintaining complex compensation calculating templates, enhancing commission calculation processes, and completing audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expert in California pay practices and all California Wage and Hour current laws as well as knowledgeable in all other state requirements. Canada pay practice knowledge is a plus.
- Reviews compensation plans to ensure that compensation calculations are added to payroll templates. Ensures accurate commission/bonus and other compensation can be accurately calculated each payroll across the US and Canada.
- Validates state rules are set-up accurately in the Payroll and Timekepping system.
- Design and prepare ad-hoc reports for Payroll, Human Resources and other departments as requested.
- Create new and enhance existing commission and other payroll calculation processes.
- Ensures routine audits are performed regularly to ensure company compliance with all legal regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring compensation templates calculate accurately.
- Manage requests for job evaluations/re-evaluations for new and existing positions, complete market and FLSA analyses for non-director level roles, ensure job description has been created/updated, and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Interact with multiple departments regarding plan administration.
- Prepare statistics, create reports, identify trends and summarize the results to management as it relates to compensation.
- Provide guidance and support to HR and clients on compensation-related matters
- Special Projects – Serve as project manager on special projects, which involve revision, modeling, development and/or re-design of existing programs/systems.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $75,000 / annually DOE

Candidate Qualifications:
- 4-6 years’ experience in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and maintain payroll templates with complex compensation calculations.
- Ability to define and analyze data, establishing criteria, drawing valid conclusions and proposing next steps and/or alternatives.
- Strict attention to detail.
- UKG experience highly desired.
- Experience with calculating commissions or other financial analysis.
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of compensation policies, procedures, and regulations; experience with sales compensation; California compensation and wage and hour expertise is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage internal and external confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
- Ability to conduct research and form informational reports.
