We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Community Manager with a strong background in maintenance technician skills, particularly on a 40-unit multifamily community located in Carrollton, OH with section 8 experience. As the Community Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, fostering a positive living environment, and ensuring the efficient maintenance of the property. This position requires a unique combination of property management expertise and hands-on maintenance skills.
Responsibilities:
- Property Management:
- Oversee the overall management and administration of the Section 8 multifamily community.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant housing regulations, including but not limited to Section 8 guidelines.
- Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Maintenance Oversight:
- Utilize your maintenance technician experience to oversee and coordinate all aspects of property maintenance.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
Tenant Relations:
- Foster positive relationships with residents to enhance the overall community living experience.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Implement community engagement initiatives to create a sense of belonging among residents.
Financial Management:
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning for property operations.
- Monitor and manage rent collection, ensuring timely payments and addressing any delinquencies.
Leasing and Marketing:
- Collaborate with leasing agents to maintain high occupancy levels.
- Implement effective marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing ones.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property management, with a focus on Section 8 multifamily communities.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a residential setting.
- Strong understanding of Section 8 housing regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a team and coordinate with external contractors.
- Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
