Overview
We're looking for an hourly Community Manager to join our team. You are perceptive, collaborative and agile with sharp strategic instincts. You know what's on-trend in the digital space, and love creating experiences through content. You are a creative thinker - always tinkering with new ways to approach old problems to find the best solutions for your client.
About the job
As a Community Manager, you'll manage our clients social media accounts by implementing strategies and tactics that grow our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our clients. You should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.
  • Build and manage our clients social media profiles, calendar and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant
  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our clients brand and content
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our clients, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers as well as from brand new audiences
  • Work alongside our content development team, account teams to help distribute content that engages our clients audience and supports the overall communication and marketing goals
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks, content strategies, or mechanisms to reach and engage relevant target audiences
  • Track, measure, and analyze all initiatives to report on social media ROI
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of integrated marketing and traditional public relations, and the role social and digital media play in integrated marketing
  • Develop/manage influencer relations programs and successfully implement related activities where needed
  • Ability to identify cultural trends, memes, and timely news stories in order to capitalize on them on behalf of our clients through social media, earned media, or paid media

Hourly Range: $30-35 an hour
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years' Digital interactive experience
  • Recognized expertise in developing strategic creative solutions for clients
  • Ability to provide clear creative conceptual direction and to motivate cross functional teams
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence in social media, with a command of each network and their best practices
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • Proficiency in using social media software like Sprout Social, Spriklr, or Spredfast, to monitor social media conversations. You will be our ear to the ground to route the appropriate marketer, sales rep, and/or support rep to social conversations
  • Strong writing and editing skills. Ability to extract insights from large amounts of information. Comfort developing presentations and presenting your ideas.
  • An understanding of digital platforms, the opportunities and challenges they present and opinions on what will work best and why.
  • An appreciation of storytelling and a desire to find the narrative in anything.
  • A working knowledge of current digital technologies, publishing tools and trends in the advertising, communications and marketing industries.
  • Understanding of standard approaches to data analytics, ads implementation, application development and platform integration
