A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT COORDINATOR

As our nonprofit's Community Employment Coordinator, you're in charge of creating connections with agencies that offer internships, training, and community service opportunities that fit our program participant's goals. You're basically the matchmaker of the career world! You're all about finding diverse on-site and remote work that fits each participant's interests and needs. And when you find something amazing, you make sure all agreements with new partners are thoroughly reviewed for completeness and accuracy according to our standard operating procedures.

You track all of your partner development activity and provide ongoing updates to your supervisor. You also keep our internal reports up to date and add new training, education, and community service partners to our internal database. When it's time to do site visits, you're there to make sure everything is up to our standards and that our program participants are getting everything they need.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT COORDINATOR?

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, education, a related field, OR equivalent work experience
• Experience or a demonstrated desire to work with the economically disadvantaged, the homeless, or public assistance recipients
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
