$23.78 – $26.50 / hour based on experience

What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Commercial Underwriter to quote and issue new commercial accounts for our Welding & Gas Distribution Program. The Commercial Underwriter will enthusiastically promote Buschbach Insurance Agency's products to ensure strong growth of profitable business throughout the United States. The role is remote based in either the Chicago metropolitan area or within the Central Time Zone.
- Solicit new business and enhance agency relationships
- Must be prepared to inspect a risk and to make acceptability and pricing decisions immediately. All the agency's prospects submitted should be reviewed
- Make appropriate selection and pricing decisions consistent with Buschbach
Insurance Agency's goals for growth and profitability
- Keep abreast of all company underwriting policies, procedures, guidelines, and events affecting the industry
- Attend meetings as required
- Recommend additional coverages or options to make our proposals more responsive to the insured's needs
- Encourage and assist in producing profitable commercial business by maintaining an excellent working relationship with agents and other Buschbach Insurance Agency personnel
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
The Perfect Match:
Required:
- High school or equivalent
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively sell Buschbach Insurance Agency
- Ability to communicate unpopular decisions tactfully
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic
- Goal-oriented
Preferred
- College or equivalent
- General Lines Property and Casualty Insurance license
- 2+ year of experience with Commercial Insurance
- Fluent in Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.78 - $26.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
