Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Programmer II to join the Kenall Team in Kenosha, WI. We are seeking an experienced SigmaNest CNC Laser and punch press Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming CNC laser machines, Turret punch presses, developing cutting paths, maximizing nest layouts and providing technical support to our team.
What Will You Do?
• Programming SigmaNest CNC laser and punch press machines to produce parts to specification
• Developing cutting paths and optimizing nests to maximize sheet utilization
• Troubleshooting CNC programming issues
• Providing technical support to team members
• Ensuring that all materials meet quality standards
• Maintaining a safe work environment
• Adhering to company policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong sheet metal knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience programming SigmaNest
• High caliber of quality control; strong skills in observing employees' work
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills as required to discuss training, general direction and other machine operations-related tasks with shop personnel and Supervisor
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Proven experience in programming SigmaNest CNC laser and punch press machines
• Knowledge of CNC programming principles and practices
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with manufacturing personnel, Supervisors, Managers and Engineering staff
• Perform other duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED:
• SigmaNest CNC programming software (Bysoft, AP100 and other CAD/CAM software packages, as implemented)
• Personal computer
• Microsoft Outlook/Word /Excel, Teams, etc.
