Description

GWS Tool Group is a rapidly growing, energetic company that is committed to investing in the organization and its employees. Our ANCA 5-Axis CNC Setup / Operator will be responsible for producing premium quality, high precision carbide, carbide tipped and HSS cutting tools using ANCA/Numroto 5-Axis CNC tool grinding machines and programs. They also facilitate and operate (ANCA) (Numroto) CNC machines by programming, setup, operating the CNC machine, inspecting tools for visible flaws and correcting quality issues to ensure a consistent product.

Opportunity Details:

As an ANCA/NUMROTO 5-Axis CNC Setup/Operator you are responsible for:

• Programming, setting up, and operating machines to produce tools per product specifications.
• Ensuring product accuracy and uniformity throughout the manufacturing process creating consistent parts.
• Reading technical drawings/blueprints to develop custom programs for specialty tooling.
• Providing general preventative maintenance to all machines.
• Identifying wheel wear on ALL wheel types.
• Consistently evaluating the quality of the finished product coming off the CNC machine through visual inspection and the use of measurement tools.
• Communicating quality issues to programmers and/or General Manager.
• Pulling material for up-coming jobs.
• Checking machinery on a daily basis to ensure functionality.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• 6+ months of industry-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. 
• Certification from a qualified training institution in the field of tool and cutter grinding is ideal but not required.
• Extra consideration for certification from companies such as ANCA, Numroto, Rollomatic, Walter, Reinecker, etc.
• Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in operating and programming machines is preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Outstanding mathematical skills including geometry and math conversions. 
• Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
• General cutting tool technical applications knowledge.
