AddressCNC Programmer
1. Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency.
2. Utilize drawings or CAD models to support program development.
3. Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.
4. Programs lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets and compensation; calculate programs using necessary geometry and trigonometry skills.
5. Sets-up lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, and collets.
6. Machine finished to print tooling, not production parts. First piece correct to print.
7. Maintains quality of tooling produced by observing and measuring all cutting actions. Replace and maintain all cutting tools as needed. Make all adjustments to programs and tooling as needed.
8. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
9. Maintains equipment by completing operator maintenance requirements; notify correct personnel of in depth maintenance needs noticed.
10. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
11. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
12. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
