POSITION SUMMARY: Sets up and controls operations of single or multiple production machines for the process of manufacturing products. Produces parts and assemblies using milling machines, drill presses, grinders, lathes, or similar tools. Deciphers sketches, blueprints, and engineering details. Aids in establishing set up and layout method and the application of required parts and materials. Runs electronic and electrical equipment and systems to perform work.
- Looking for a machinist to set up, run and operate our mill and lathe machines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Schedules to meet manufacturing needs and equipment resources.
- Set up and control CNC operations.
- Produces parts and devices as needed by manufacturing or engineering for prototype and production needs
- Is proficient and skilled in using all standard and specialized equipment needed including milling machines, drill presses, grinders, lathes, and other related tools/equipment
- Manages to maintain on-time delivery
- Manages materials with the aim of reducing raw material costs
- Complies with all safety and environmental compliance requirements
- Participates in effective preventive maintenance program
- Minimizes equipment downtime and impact to overall operations
Required Skills all these positions:
- 5 year machine experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
