14-bed LDRP unit
14-bed overflow/postpartum unit
Provides family-centered maternity and newborn care
Approximately 1,800 births annually
Staffed with Lactation Consultants
OB/GYN and CNM providers
RN Fellowship Program for non-OB experience RNs
Level II NICU
Private NICU rooms available for the sick or pre-term infant
Care for pre-term infant 32 weeks or greater
Board Certified Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on staff
Position Function: Supports Nurse Manager by directing and guiding professional and support staff on a single nursing care unit with shift responsibility. Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum; Nursery; NICU
Education - Graduate of a state accredited school of Nursing. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or equivalent* required or must achieve within 3 years of hire date. Applicant must be able to demonstrate continuing education, particularly in area of expertise and leadership. *Equivalent – a letter from the educational institution stating that the employee has completed the undergraduate portion of their studies. The employee must stay continuously enrolled in graduate studies until obtaining their MSN. Experience - Two years acute care experience in area of specialty, prior management and leadership experience preferred. Certification / Licensure - Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Certification in specialty preferred. • CPR certification required for all clinical areas • ACLS required for ICU/CCU/PCU, SDS/PACU/PAT/Pain Services and ECU • PALS required for PACU and Pediatrics • NRP required for Perinatal
