The Clinic Receptionist, referenced internally as the Patient Services Representative (PSR) works with patients and their families to address needs and concerns. They are the first point of contact for patients and their families. Offers excellent customer service both over the phone when scheduling appointments, as well as when patients and their families are in clinic. The PSR is required to follow all Allegro Pediatrics policies and procedures; and must communicate a positive attitude, as well as maintain a positive working relationship with staff; managers; directors and physicians.
PRS positions are full-time with four 10-hour shifts and must be available to work at any of Allegro's Eastside Clinics as needed for coverage.
Job Responsibilities
- Update patients via text, send forms for visits, collect co-pays or account balances
- Use of phone systems to schedule appointments as needed and take messages for physicians/nurses
- Monitor tasks in our electronic health record software
- Troubleshoot issues with appointments or general account questions
- Restock supplies
- Process, distribute, and scan correspondence and reports that arrive via mail, and fax
- Must preserve and protect patient confidentiality
- Promote atmosphere of patient care and customer service excellence, respecting patient rights, confidentiality, diversity, and developmental needs
Desired Skills:
- Working with Genesys, Phreesia, Intergy, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, desired but not required
- Familiarity with HIPAA, desired but not required
- Medical clinic and/or prior front desk/customer service experience, desired but not required
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent communications skills with a diverse population of customers and coworkers
- Professional work appearance and ability to comply to the dress code
- Ability to work at least one weekend day a month and one holiday per year
- Must communicate in a positive and calm manner
- Must be proficient in computer navigation, task management and working with several software programs at the same time. Including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Zoom, etc.
