Clerk, Accounts Payable

Responsible for processing all functions related to Accounts Payable. Works closely with the Assistant controller to ensure timely processing of all payments, invoices and reporting.

Essential Job functions/ Duties:*

• Process large volumes of vendor invoices, including purchase order and non-purchase order.
• Research and resolve Vendor payment issues as they arise
• Reconcile Vendor statement to ensure all invoices are recorded
• Handle departmental mail including sorting, date-stamping and distributing to proper individuals for approval.
• Work with assigned business units to resolve invoicing issues
• Performs weekly check runs to include cutting, matching, and mailing of live checks.
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement to identify, develop and implement process changes to increase efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Certifications/Licenses, and Experience:*

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of accounting
• Two years Accounts Payable experience, preferably with SAP.
• Fast and accurate data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate verbally in an effective manner.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
• Ability to multi-task and manage different priorities
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word
