Consultant must report onsite Mon-Friday
The Consultant role will be responsible for managing internal risk and regulatory documentation as it relates to risk policies, procedures, and methodologies. The Consultant's primary responsibilities will be leading the drafting and implementation of new Risk Management policies and procedures while maintaining and updating existing documents. The Consultant will work closely with the various Clearing House Risk teams and the CME Clearing policy and compliance teams to ensure all policies, procedures, methodologies, and models are compliant with CME's rules and any applicable regulations. The Consultant will also be expected to produce PowerPoint presentations and memos detailing updates and changes to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of Risk Management policies, procedures, and methodologies in line with CME Clearing's established risk framework and regulatory requirements.
- Produce presentations in PowerPoint on risk initiatives, projects, monitoring, polices, procedures, methodologies, etc. Produce memos as needed to accompany Power Points.
- Develop thoughtful, well-organized, and on-point analysis of pertinent risk, regulatory, and compliance issues.
- Present analysis and other projects to senior management team at weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
- Aid in the compliance of CME's regulatory requirements through engagements with regulators and providing assistance in regulatory and third-party requests.
- Work with other teams within clearing, product development, sales, treasury, and legal on analysis and CME Clearing projects and broader risk initiatives.
- Compose and communicate key industry and market news and developments and their potential impact on CME.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of CME's risk documents and frameworks and how they relate to each other and various other Clearing House departments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and to meet deadlines.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Familiar with exchange and/or financial institution compliance and risk policies.
- Familiar with Google suite.
- Self-motivated professional.
- 5-7 years experience at an FCM, Bank, Exchange, or related entity in a risk function or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or other related field.
