The ideal candidate will be ready to drive the continued growth and success of the tax practice. Responsibilities include supporting clients with tax planning, research and communications in all areas of tax services (including individual, partnership, corporate, trusts and estates). Role plays a key part in mentoring and training less experienced tax professionals, and growing the tax practice.
Job qualifications
- IRS Enrolled Agent ("EA") or CPA certification preferred
- Three or more years of comprehensive tax experience within a tax or accounting firm
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field strongly preferred
- Experience managing multiple client engagements
- LaCerte and QuickBooks experience highly preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated proficiency in meeting deadlines with a team approach
- Efficient analytical, problem-solving, written and oral skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare Corporate, Partnership, Trust and Individual tax returns
- Research and analyze changes in tax regulation and strategically develop practice skills to meet changing needs
- Develop in-depth understanding of client businesses and help identify needs/opportunities, partner with clients to implement effective solutions
- Mentor / train less experienced Tax Associates
