Excel Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer Designer looking for a great opportunity to work in North County area, Escondido, CA.

Currently Excel Engineering employs roughly 25 engineering professionals including civil engineers, designers, surveyors, drafters, and administrative. We make our living preparing quality plans and reports. Most job advancement comes from within Excel, but we keep an open door for interested outside talent as well. Key Responsibilities will include the following:

· Prepare engineering drawings/maps to firm standards

· Design basic construction documents, prepare exhibits, constraint maps reflecting field data and engineering research

· Independently ensure a clear and attractive set of engineering documents

· BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline with Civil Engineering design experience

· EIT or PE a plus

· Successful candidates will have well-developed problem solving, decision making, communication and team building skills

· Must have working knowledge of engineering principles and standards

· Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Civil 3D experience a plus

· Three to five years experience a plus

The pay and benefits of working at Excel Engineering include a competitive salary. Successful candidates may be able to choose to be paid salary or hourly. Hourly employees are eligible for overtime pay. Other benefits include up to three weeks paid vacation, seven paid holidays per year, dental, health, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement, on the job training, and the opportunity to work with excellent quality engineers and surveyors etc. Salary ranges from $30 to $45 and depends on experience, maturity, productivity, etc.
