Civil Design Engineer

Salary: $80,000 to $115,000 per year
We are looking for a Civil Design Engineer with 2-6 years' experience, who is motivated to be fast tracked to Project Manager. The ideal candidate will also possess the same passion for land development as we do! We are seeking a bright, positive, self-starting, dependable, and highly professional team player interested in continually learning and growing with the company. We are a development partner that provides solutions to our clients in the form of civil engineering, surveying, dry utility, and entitlement services. Along with our passion for land development, company culture is also essential.
Casual dress code and flexible in office start time with opportunity to work 4 - 9's and half day on Friday. We do not offer working from home. There is a 3% 401k match regardless of your contribution.
Responsibilities:
•Assist Project Manager in all aspects from beginning to end in the land development process. (ie: shopping centers, auto dealerships, gas stations, amusement parks and QSR development)
•Preparation of on-site private grading, storm drain, utility plans, earthwork estimates, and construction quantity estimates
•Process plans through respective governmental agencies
•Client and project team communication and coordination
•Preparation of public street, storm drain, sewer, water street lighting, signing and striping improvement plans
•Conceptualises the initial Civil Design approach for major phase of large land/site development, related projects, or has overall responsibility for the civil engineering work on an aforementioned type project of a larger scope
•Plans, schedules, conduct or coordinate civil engineering work
•Assist the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with City, State, and County officials, and other outside agencies
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science in civil engineering
· Obtaining Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California
· Expert in AutoCad / Civil 3D
· Meet demanding deadlines
· Excellent team player
· 2-6 years experience in Land Development
