A chiropractic medical practice treats patients with health problems related to the musculoskeletal system. The Clinical Chiropractic Assistant is a medical assistant who works under the direction of a chiropractor, and performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a chiropractic office is running smoothly. Previous chiropractic, medical office experience or nursing student a plus.
Administrative Duties Administrative responsibilities include opening and closing the clinic, greeting and managing intake, scheduling of patients and answering phones. Record patients' medical and treatment information, and receive payment or health insurance information for billing purposes. Other administrative duties include but not limited to maintaining confidential patient records, filing and ordering supplies and supplements.
Clinical Duties To prepare for new patients, a Clinical Assistant prepares exam and treatment areas by cleaning the areas and ensuring appropriate supplies are available. This also includes escorting patients to exam areas, taking vitals, Physical Therapy modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation (will train) and process laboratory tests and explaining any required procedures to prepare the patient before the chiropractor's exam and treatment.
Part time position with the flexibility to advance to full-time, if mutually agreed upon
Days expected to work: MWF&Saturday, one Saturday off per month
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
