Job description

Mission

BrandView is rapidly evolving, and we are seeking an exceptional and dynamic Chief of Staff who can seamlessly blend chaos with structure to prepare our company to scale in 2024. The Chief of Staff will work alongside and serve as the right hand to the Founder & Managing Principal to help the firm achieve its mission: To be the world’s best investor-operator of mixed-use buildings in exceptional locations.

About the Role

As Chief of Staff at BrandView, you will embody a strategic thinker, project executor, and systems designer passionate about growing within a Real Estate investment platform. This role will be crucial in staying ten steps ahead of the team, handling operational challenges and day-to-day issues, connecting dots across all departments, and enabling our team to focus on their strengths to deliver their best work. This is an intense and entrepreneurial position that offers significant opportunities for increasing responsibility, impacting our growth, and shaping the company's evolution. Ambition is key, and you can expect this role to evolve.

At BrandView, the Chief of Staff will be a member of our leadership team and will be a dynamic individual poised to grow into a Chief Operating Officer.

This role is equal parts business operations and asset-level execution within Real Estate private equity investment.

About You, A-Player Defined:

  • You're a proven platform builder, passionate about Commercial Real Estate investment and development. Particularly creating a business machine to acquire and add value to mixed-use properties in high barrier-to-entry locations.
  • You have project management expertise in Commercial Real Estate investment and asset management. You have a demonstrated track record of planning and delivering results in business and asset-level operations and executing special projects.
  • Execution. You have the skill to execute a vision. You are fanatical about details, results, and driving everyone to execute the business plan. You are highly resourceful and feel at home managing complex projects, both large and small, and are a master of follow-through.
  • Leading, managing, and holding people accountable. You love building, running, and improving the day-to-day aspects of the business. You enjoy being accountable for profit and loss and for the execution of the business plan. You remove obstacles so people can execute. You operate at a detailed level.
  • Own Every Detail. Every piece of work you produce, whether written or graphic, is a testament to your impeccable attention to detail.
  • You are an organizational powerhouse. You are a master of planning and coordination, able to juggle multiple priorities and ideas while keeping every piece highly organized. You can proudly reference past projects that demanded these skills.
  • The Steady Force. You create organizational focus and accountability for a small team. You ensure priorities are set and everyone is aligned with those priorities to drive results.
  • Great systems design is second nature to you. You are constantly finding ways to simplify and systematize processes to create operational leverage and measure success by the ease of process adoption.
  • Being proactive is your default. You're the kind who spots issues and jumps into action. Waiting around? That's not your style. You're forward-thinking, asking questions, and creating solutions without a nudge. You don’t need to be chased, and instead do the chasing.
  • Performance Metrics and Software Stacks are your allies. You're at ease with leveraging technology and can interpret essential business metrics to make informed decisions.
  • You’re a hard worker. Whatever it takes, you get the job done. You work well under pressure and you don't mind working evenings and weekends if the occasion calls for it.
  • You’re an energy generator rather than an energy drainer. Your positivity and enthusiasm are infectious. You're committed to uplifting others, helping everyone see the possible path forward, and always finding a way to further our mission.
