This is a full-time position based in Austin, TX.
Your Role:
As the Chief of Staff at DoStuff, you will be a critical part of our leadership team, directly supporting and amplifying the effectiveness of our team. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and the ability to manage cross-functional projects. You'll work directly with the COO and other department heads, ensuring that our ad revenue, subscription, content, finance, product and people departments are aligned and executing our company's vision effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an advisor to the COO, providing insights and recommendations on company operations, culture, and growth strategies.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among departments, ensuring that departmental goals align with the company's overall objectives.
- Oversee high-impact projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and meet expected outcomes.
- Assist in preparing for and following up on internal and external meetings, ensuring that key action items are executed.
- Conduct analysis and prepare reports to support decision-making processes.
- Represent the COO and the company in various internal and external settings as needed.
- Internal Communication: Enhance internal communication strategies, ensuring clear and effective messaging across the organization. Help in managing the flow of information to and from the executive office.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational improvements and lead initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity within the organization.
- Change Management: Lead or facilitate organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adaptation to new processes or strategic directions.
- Crisis Management: Provide support in managing crises or urgent issues, helping to coordinate responses and communication strategies.
- Special Projects: Take on special projects which could range from organizational restructuring, process improvements, mentorship program development, etc.
You Have:
- Proven experience in a strategic role, preferably within the media or entertainment industry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of driving projects to completion.
- Ability to think critically and strategically, with a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for the live event space.
