Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Sarasota Memorial Hospital - Venice (SMH-V) provides financial leadership to the SMH-V management group. Working as a partner with the Corporate Finance division team in a matrix organizational structure, the CFO serves as the financial interface to the SMH-V senior leadership team and department directors. The CFO is also responsible for trouble-shooting issues, establishing the annual operating and capital budgets, monitoring budget compliance throughout the year, preparing pro-formas on proposals for new equipment or services, and preparing look-back analyses on existing business lines, as well as, supporting compliance with all external regulations and internal policies.
Required Qualifications
- Require a Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus CPA Certificate.
- Require five (5) years of experience as a financial administrator in an acute care facility.
- Require experience communicating effectively with department directors, administration and the Board.
- Require ability to function effectively in a matrix organizational structure.
