Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a Well-Established Non-Profit in the MetroWest Boston Region
The Position: The Charles River Center is seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and mission-driven executive to build upon the activities that have enabled it to become one of the region's most respected nonprofit organizations among disability providers. Reporting to the President/CEO, the CFO will manage all financial and general business activities for the organization, with additional responsibility overseeing all the strategic management of the company’s IT and purchasing infrastructure and operations.
The Organization: The Charles River Center (CRC) is a long-established, well-connected Human Services organization in the Needham and surrounding areas, serving more than 1000 individuals with disabilities and their families. Responsibilities:
- Strategy, Planning and Management
- Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting
- Board of Directors and Committee Relationship Management
- Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations Leadership
- Conduct On-Going Financial and Risk Management
- Information Technology Management
- Lead the Finance Team and Information Technology Department
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance required. A master’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related graduate degree is preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) also preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience of accounting or finance experience, with at least 5 years served as the top financial executive of an organization.
- Experience in a non-profit agency with contracts with the Department of Developmental Disabilities (or similar entities), HUD, and MassHealth is required.
- Previous experience with external auditors, Boards of Directors communications, state and federal regulatory/reporting administration for non-profits, and GAAP compliance is also preferred.
