Our client a rapidly growing healthcare / skilled nursing organization with over 40 facilities / 5000 patient beds across the United States is seeking an experienced and focused financial leader to join their leadership team.
They are decidedly quality focused, both on the patient care and back office fronts and are seeking a CFO who comfortable working in results and outcome oriented, who has experience working in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. You will serve as the top of the food chain leader and will have much impact on the direction of the company (they have a stated goal to more sustainably more than double in size in the medium term) as well as the culture and quality of the team (they believe that an upbeat culture, where people are learning and growing, is the MOST productive corporate culture!).
We are open to candidates with a strong track record even if coming from outside of the healthcare industry.
Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading the financial strategy of the company, working closely with the executive team to drive growth and profitability. The CFO will also lead a team of finance professionals and ensure that the company's financial operations are efficient and effective and will serve as an essential cornerstone of the future growth and scalability of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company to support growth and profitability
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Manage outside vendors / contractors ensuring that parties are held accountable for precise and high quality work.
- Manage the accounting tax functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee the treasury function, including cash management and banking relationships
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks
- Manage parts of investor relations, including communication with investors and analysts
- Provide financial insights and guidance to the CEO and executive team to support business decisions
- Manage and develop a team of finance professionals to ensure that the finance function is operating effectively and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Strong track record of results and outcomes, even if coming from outside of the healthcare industry (this can't be overstated)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
- Experience working in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment, such as a private equity-backed company
- Strong financial modeling and analysis skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of finance professionals
- High level of integrity and ethical standards
