OpenDor Media is on the lookout for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who thrives on guiding financial strategy and fostering organizational growth. In this role, you'll collaborate directly with senior leadership, driving financial planning and ensuring the financial robustness of our operations.

As the financial backbone of our team, you'll lead the charge on budget management, financial forecasting, and strategic analysis, ensuring clarity, efficiency, and impact in our financial processes.

Reporting directly to the CEO, your insights and leadership will be pivotal in shaping our financial future and supporting our mission. Step into a role where your financial acumen directly contributes to our success and growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with the CEO and COO to develop the annual budget.
  • Provide oversight to ensure the organization’s financial wellbeing; lead cash forecasting and management; manage all budgets, forecasts and internal financial plans and processes, including annual organizational budget and grant-related budgets.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate development of budgets, financial reports, and models that will assist in making informed program strategy, and resource allocation, including working with each department head.
  • Support accounting and general ledger functions, ensuring that systems are in place to guarantee timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent generation of financial management reports on a consistent monthly, quarterly and annual basis and as needed.
  • Oversee records reconciliation among finance and development departments.
  • Lead cash forecasting process.
  • Oversee finance and operations consultants and related outside service providers, including the annual audit.
  • Ensure financial systems are in place to support and drive organization’s strategic priorities.

Salary:

Our target salary range for this position when based in New York is $190,000 to $200,000 annually. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.


Requirements:

What You Have:

  • At least 7 years experience in knowledge of finance, financial modeling and budgeting, administration and strategic planning.
  • Experience with a budget over $5 million.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Excellent Excel and financial database management skills.
  • High-energy, independent worker with ability to balance a wide range of duties.
  • Superior attention to detail and problem-solving skill
