Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Location: New York City (Hybrid role)
Summary:
The CFO is responsible for all aspects of financial operations, including policies, systems, internal controls, and metrics. Processes monthly financial reports; leads risk management projects; analyzes financial , , managing vendor relationships, and processes financial data. Maintains compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for the direct supervision of the Controller and the indirect supervision of all employees in the accounting and finance departments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance for all lines of business.
- Improve internal controls and procedures. Develop and enhance companywide budget,
- reporting, and audit practices.
- Participate in developing the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new
- programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
- Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the Managing Directors, CEO, and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the
- organization, i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and investments.
- Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.
- Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the
- efficiency and effectiveness of the group and provide individuals with professional and personal growth with an emphasis on opportunities (where possible) for individuals.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, 15+ years of related experience, Affordable or multi-family exp. required, and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master of Business Administration preferred
