- As part of the executive team, shared responsibility for establishment and achievement of organizational priorities and plans.
- Represents organization, CEO, and Executive team, communicating and exhibiting our corporate values within Wings and in the communities we serve.
- Serves as a key spokesperson and advocate for the organization’s financial strategies, corporate culture, and business model with key constituencies including employees, regulators, auditors, and industry partners.
- Responsible for the finance, treasury, and investment functions at the Credit Union, including the following areas: financial analysis and reporting; budgeting, forecasting and planning; cost accounting; branch and other relevant profitability and performance models.
- Represents finance in internal deposit (liability) and loan (asset) pricing committee, to help generate organizational pricing philosophy optimized to account for market pricing, membership giveback, growth objectives, and balance sheet structure including asset mix and maturity risk.
- Manages the asset and liability structure of the Credit Union in concert with the Executive Team. Specific responsibilities include:
- Chairs and acts as a voting member of the Asset Liability Committee.
- Directs the production of the Asset Liability Committee Report.
- Models balance sheet structure risks and proposes actions
- Oversees organizational financial analytics capabilities, providing direction, insight and approach to cross-utilized analytics resource. Develops organizational financial and analytical modeling capabilities as a resource to multiple organizational constituencies.
- Leads annual organizational budget and business plan process and approach.
- Responsible for all corporate accounting and reporting functions for the Credit Union. Causes the financial reports for the organizations to be prepared in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations and consistent with the needs of the organization.
- Responsible for various support service functions for the Credit Union, including all back office/bookkeeping functions associated with members’ accounts including direct deposit, ACH and wire transfers.
- Creates tools for use in evaluating proposed capital projects and shares project approval responsibilities with the Executive Team.
- Develop investment strategies that are consistent with Wings desired rate of return and within limitations of Board Policy, Wings’ risk tolerances and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee execution of investment strategies and documentation of rationale for each investment decision with an audit/regulatory focus.
- Collaborates with the other members of the Executive Management Team to jointly develop long term strategic plans and goals of the Credit Union.
- Serves as executive lead to the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors, responsible for developing and delivering support for the meeting agenda and serving as a resource for Committee members and the Board as it relates to this material.
- Serves as executive lead to the Supervisory Committee of the Board of Directors, responsible for developing and delivering support for the meeting agenda and serving as a resource for Committee members and the Board as it relates to this material.
- Voting member of the Business Loan Review Committee.
- Serves on such outside boards, committees, or as a representative of the Credit Union in organizations and companies of interest to the Credit Union as approved by the CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Fifteen+ years of progressive leadership experience in a financial services organization with assets of at least $5 billion.
