Job Description
Can you lead the internal operations (Finance, HR, Recruiting and IT) for a fast growing professional services firm with operations across four continents? Have you collaborated with external investors, bankers and acquisition targets to help drive growth? Do you have the mindset to mentor team members to drive performance, innovative thinking, and efficiency gains? Can you work with sales, delivery, and other departments to facilitate operational excellence? Can you interface with peer executives and all levels of the organization? Can you negotiate with customers as well as vendors?
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of financial leadership experience, ideally in a technical professional services environment. They will provide hands-on leadership to the Financial, HR, Recruiting and IT departments in a $20+ million growing services company. They should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaboratively work with geographically dispersed teams.
Qualifications
Top 5 Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with CEO and executive team to set and drive organization vision and strategy.
  2. Oversee all aspects of finance and accounting operations, including compliance with regulations & standards across the US, India, Brazil, and EU.
  3. Lead McFadyen internal operations including Finance, HR, Recruiting and IT departments across four continents.
  4. Interface with potential investors and conduct valuations and evaluate acquisition opportunities.
  5. Review sales contracts and related legal documents.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to deliver near-, mid- and long-term strategic financial plans.
  • Define and manage to business metrics for a professional services organization.
  • Manage a team of several accounting professionals across the US and India.
  • Oversee all aspects of business accounting and make recommendations for continuous improvement to the financial health of the organization.
  • Oversee and manage the annual audit, including US, India and Brazil operations.
  • Oversee all accounting activities and ensure adherence to GAAP in the US and IFRS in India and Brazil.
  • Record and review monthly journal entries as needed.
  • Develop and manage global annual budgets.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements and present to a board of advisors.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Interface with all levels of management as required.
  • Interface with banks and ensure adherence to banking covenants.
  • Oversee standard costing and adherence to margin targets.
  • Review and approve customer and vendor contracts.
  • Process US payroll & benefits and oversee India and Brazil payrolls.
  • Oversee operational reporting such as utilization, realization, margins and other corporate KPIs.
  • Manage existing processes and create new processes in other functional areas as needed.
  • Manage cash flow.
  • Institute and manage benchmarks to measure the financial and operational performance of the organization.
  • Analyze and make recommendations based on monthly operating costs.
  • Create and present ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
  • Ensure accounting procedures are aligned with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and that all local, state and federal financial reporting requirements are met.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations.
  • Analyze and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
  • Run Project financial reports for various projects.
  • Ensure proper invoicing, payments, and other transactions with our India and Brazil operations occur smoothly, timely, and accurately.
  • Oversee the IT department and processes and ensure network security.
  • Oversee the HR department and processes.
  • Oversee the Recruiting department and processes.
  • Oversee facilities management.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Required.
  • Must possess at least 15 years or more of related accounting or financial leadership experience.
  • Experience with international transfer pricing.
  • CPA is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with speaking Portuguese and experience with Brazilian accounting and tax laws are a plus.
  • Experience with Indian accounting and tax laws is a plus.
  • Experience at an accounting firm is a plus as is experience in tax.
  • Experience with a multinational professional services firm strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial, accounting, operational background.
  • Experience overseeing HR and Recruiting is a plus.
  • Experience overseeing internal IT departments is a plus.
  • Ability to balance strategic,tactical, and hands-on duties.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with and forge relationships with employees, customers and vendors at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a team player, able to meet strict deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Skills
  • GAAP understanding required and IFRS is highly desirable.
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • US Payroll including multi-state tax filings.
  • Company valuation models.
