Duties and responsibilities
~ Go over batch sheet and determine safety precautions that need to be taken when making batch, also know the SOP for the batch being worked on. This includes knowing temps required for production and steps that need to be taken to make batch.
~ Make sure lots of raw materials pulled match what’s on batch sheets
~ Verify reactor is clean, dry, and ready for production of the batch as instructed by SOP *different batches require different steps before starting
~ Communicate with assistant to determine what equipment will be needed to make batch so that he can set up at reactor.
~Raw material additions are to be done by reactor operator
~ Gather samples and have QC approve batch.
~Once approved unload into appropriate containers as instructed by supervisor.
~Complete batch sheet and verify all materials used are noted, containers used are noted and locations for storage are noted on batch sheet
~once packaged, make labels, and find locations approved for material storage
~ Once reactor has been emptied, clean out all equipment used, reactors, filters, pumps, hoses and drumming equipment. Making sure work area is clean and ready for another batch
Requirements:
~ Operator must be able to lift raw materials in bags and dump into reactors when necessary usually around 50-60 lbs.
~ Handling of chemical hose and Diaphragm pumps require lifting and pushing.
~ At times drums require to be tilted, this allows for the material to be completely removed from the drums
~ Small addition of 40lbs. or less are done in a 5gallon bucket, operators must be able to carry and lift bucket to reactors for additions.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
