This Mental Health unit has 20 private rooms/bathrooms (some handicapped accessible), separate dining and day room space, a spacious group room, a comfort room, and open areas for visiting and relaxing. In addition, patients have access to a large activity room and a secured outdoor space. In addition, patients have access to a large activity room and secured outdoor space. This unit provides care to patients 18 years and older and are experiencing an acute Mental Health illness of high acuity. In addition, patients may have medical/surgical conditions that are being treated and require intervention.

Qualifications:
•Completion of an accredited degree program in Nursing. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred. Two (2) years experience in area of specialty preferred at 0.8 FTE, or above (minimum of 3328 hours).
•Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
•CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
•Knowledge of current nursing practices and techniques
•Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
•Ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team
•Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family members and co-workers
