Mednovations LLC is looking for a highly motivated and reliable Medical Assistant. This is a part-time position. The Medical Assistant will perform direct and indirect patient care as assigned by our licensed clinical staff.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Welcomes patients by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring to patient inquiries.
- Assists with daily phone coverage functions.
- Accompany physician on visits to assisted living facilities or group homes.
- Reviews patient’s emails and voicemails daily and responds back with physician guidance and instruction.
- Assists physician with patient care plan initiatives.
- Mails and or faxes documents to patients or other medical professionals as required.
- Assists physician with progress note creation and completion.
- Taking patient Vitals an entering them into the EMR.
- Performs patient interviews to collect health history.
- Maintain and keep updated medical records and documentation.
- Obtains urine or blood specimens to send out to reference labs in accordance with laboratory guideline and insurance plan requirements. Phlebotomy certification is a plus.
- Works with physicians to ensure timely receipt and reporting of test results.
- Assists physician with discharge instructions and necessary patient follow-up and education.
- Assists with calling in prescriptions to pharmacies.

Pay rate $15 to $17 per hour
Certifications and Experience
Six months Medical Assistant experience preferred.
High school graduate
Graduate from an accredited/Certified Medical Assistant program
Phlebotomy and CPR certificates.
Hours – Part time, 15 to 20 hours a week.
