Job Summary:
Surgical Ophthalmology practice looking for an individual with an interest in healthcare and medicine to work closely with the doctor as a Medical Assistant. Various duties include patient work-up and history, performing diagnostics tests (OCT, Visual Field testing, fundus photography), charting, basic office work, and patient education.

$2,000 bonus AFTER 2 years of service and employer sponsored SEP IRA contribution of 20% of salary AFTER 3 years of employment. 1 week PTO after first year of employment.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coding medical information
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Educate patients on proper self-care techniques and provide instructions for medication usage
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
