Cashier/Stocker/Customer Service

We are looking for a cashier/stocker to join our team! The cashiers and stockers at Hood Canal Market Fresh are the face of our customer experience. People who thrive in this role enjoy the day-to-day interactions with our customers and a fast-paced work environment.

Duties:

• Greet customers and provide exceptional service at all times
• Operate a cash register efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper cash handling, along with bagging purchases.
• Unload merchandise and stock shelves, ensuring proper rotation and product placement.
• Maintain a clean and organized space by pulling product forward and rotating.
• Assist customers in locating product, signing up for our rewards app, or answering questions.
• Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust, mop, and other cleaning duties as assigned.
• Receive deliveries from vendors while ensuring the accuracy of merchandise delivered.
• Frequent work in cold environments, like a freezer or beer cooler
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requested.
• Frequently reaching over the head, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, standing for up to 8 hours, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as handheld scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, merchandise containers, two-wheel dollies, U-boats
• Provide excellent customer service at all times

Skills:

• Interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Basic cash handling skills and procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $16.80 - $18.00 per hour
