Genesis10 is currently seeking a Supply Chain/Procurement Supplier 5 with our client in their San Diego, CA location. This is a 9 month + contract position.
Summary:
  • The Filmetrics business unit is looking for a motivated Engineering Materials Coordinator to join our team to help support engineering with procurement, vendor management, materials tracking and project management across our optical profiler, resistivity and thin-film measurement products.

Responsibilities:
  • The ideal candidate will be highly attentive to detail, well-organized, process-oriented, and self-motivated to improve information management practices across all departments, as well as possess well-developed written communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable with frequent communications with third-party organizations.
  • Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Populating and maintaining the administrative documents used during the development and procurement of new products, including Bills of Material (BOMs) and related information.
  • Conducting regular communication with the company's suppliers and manufacturing vendors to include ordering and tracking parts, requesting samples and quotes, and managing the sample feedback process in coordination with engineering.
  • Autonomously driving the procurement process of all new parts and assemblies with vendors in support of new product development, to include establishing contact with new vendors as needed.
  • Providing detailed visibility and updates on the procurement status of all components to the project teams on a regular basis.
  • Maintaining well-organized electronic document control for quotes, sample approvals, engineering packages, etc.
  • Maintaining project schedules, across departments, to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved on time.
  • Compiling, organizing, and updating engineering information packages for new products under-development, including compiling information for regulatory compliance testing and certification.
  • Tracking the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) across multi-year product lifecycles.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management with 3 to 5 years' experience. An emphasis on Project Management a plus.
  • Accumulated 5 or more years of manufacturing, purchasing and project management related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines, while keeping a keen awareness of the impact on other areas of the organization.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail - perfectionists are encouraged to apply!
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Leadership experience.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Experience with project management software/applications.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, or similar, CAD applications.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with purchasing processes.

Pay rate range: $50.30 - $55.30 hourly
