Position Summary: The Care Coordinator assists in examining and treating patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records or inputs information to patients’ medical record.
Position Requirements:
- Collect, track, and maintain patient history.
- Take vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, O2 saturation, and weight.
- Perform EKG and record test results.
- Educate patients about their condition(s) and treatment options.
- Take verbal orders from primary care provider and carry out orders in a timely manner.
- Coordinate patient referrals.
- Perform lab draws and start IV’s.
- Perform the triage stage of patient in a timely manner.
- Assist provider with patient examinations and clinical procedures as needed.
- Assist primary care provider in writing prescriptions for patients.
- Maintain the appearance of exam rooms, monitor biohazard, and sharp containers, and replace when needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed state-approved CMA education program or LPN certificate or licensing program
- Computer skills required; Knowledge of EMR/ EHR
- Prominent level of empathy and compassion
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Promote supportive and positive environment for both staff and patients
- Ability to handle fast-paced environment and prioritize task based on importance
- Comply with HIPPA regulations
- Minimum two years' experience in a clinical setting as a Medical Assistant or LPN
- Basic understanding of EKG test results
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
