Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary

Lewy Physical Therapy is seeking a friendly, compassionate person to be the face of our company! As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first person our patients come into contact with when they arrive for their appointment. The ideal candidate is warm, personable, and friendly with a desire to make our patients feel genuinely cared for. Candidates must be reliable and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Attention to detail is a must. Two years experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties:

• Greets patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, answers or refers questions to the appropriate recipient.
• Obtains records, performs data entry, verifies and updates personal, health, billing, and insurance information.
• Examines patient's electronic medical record and demographics for required information for the next day appointments. Notes missing information, co-pays, or balances due on patient account. Collects the necessary information when patient arrives for their appointment.
• Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information

Skills:

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate with patients to ensure excellent customer service
• Knowledge of keyboarding, data entry, and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
• Ability to be a strong team player
• Excellent people skills a must!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
