Under the direction of the Director of Teen & Camp Services, the Senior Camp Director is responsible for the leadership and daily operation of the Summer Day Camp and Teen Programs. This individual is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education of all children within our care. The Senior Camp Director ensures that the needs of the participants and the goals of the program are met appropriately.

Essential Duties:
Fiscal Management
- Assists Director of Camp & Teen Services in annual budget development
- Manage day camp program budgets
Program Management
- Manages, directs and coordinates Summer Day Camp Programs for assigned location
- Ensures high-quality programs and establishes new program activities
- Assist programs to meet DOH Regulations
- Support Teen Programs and SACC Enrichment Programs as needed
Staff Management
- Assure all staff are qualified following YMCA policies, DOH regulations
- Assist Director of Camp & Teen Services in the recruiting and hiring of all camp staff
- Monitor camp staff performance goals and objectives
- Maintain staff following YMCA policies DOH ratios
- Assist with the facilitation of professional development for all camp staff
- Supervise/ supports staff per YMCA Policies
Family Engagement
- Behavior Management
- Parent Involvement/Communication
Community Outreach
- Participate in community outreach activities to promote the mission of the Y
- Assist with program tours and communicate with perspective families
- Assist with the planning & implementation of special events, visitors & family nights
Additional Duties
- Stepping into the Director role when the Director is not present
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- CPR and First Aid certifications required
Experience:
- Two or more years as a coordinator or supervisor of youth development programs, including supervising staff
Knowledge:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in basic computers skills (Microsoft Office, Social Media)
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
