Cad Drafter And Detailer

Seeking a CAD Drafter and Detailer specializing in Misc Metals. Successful candidates should have the ability to interpret contract drawings and generate 3D models and 2D detail drawings used in fabrication.

Skills and Responsibilities
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Self-motivated, organized, strong communication, and mathematical skills.
Associates Degree in Drafting - preferred
2+ years of experience producing structural drawings in AutoCAD
Working knowledge of AISC detailing/fabrication
Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
Create Fabrication, misc metal drawings, one off, and miscellaneous steel projects
Document Control of individual projects
Ability to manage several projects at the same time
Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and architects to interpret/resolve design issues.
Create and submit RFI's as necessary
Work closely with Fabrication to interpret and resolve detailing issues
Perform field measurements to translate into custom layouts and fabrication drawings, as required.
