CAD Schematic Drafter

Eye Designs is looking for an experienced drafts person (5+ years) and has an immediate need for an experienced Product Detailer/Quality Assurance Associate to create and reviewing construction documents prior to sending to production. This position is also responsible for creating and updating engineering specifications for products and components. Individual should have experience in the Millwork, Cabinetry, and/or Woodworking industry, with the ability to create 3D drawings and blocks.

This is an in-person, 5-day per week position. No remote work or relocation assistance is available.

General Summary:Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Create 3D schematics of all products to be used in installation guides.
• Create 2D Sign Off Drawings of Products.
• Create 3D Blocks.
• Review Millwork and construction drawings and check for accuracy; make corrections as necessary and communicate corrections to design team.
• Match Millwork drawings to 2D schematics.
• Work closely with Costing, Design, and Manufacturing to design, implement, and improve new and existing products.
• Collaborate with other departments as necessary to resolve project issues or delays within scope of authority assigned.
• Communicate with clients regarding desired changes to production documents; make required edits as required.
• Create 2D drawings of developed products for client review.
