Cad Drafter

WE MANUFACTURE FUN!! Cardinal Systems Inc. is one of the nation's largest technologically advanced manufacturers of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools. In addition to steel walls, we manufacture steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead and other custom fabrications.
As a part of our CAD team, you will work in a team environment with Drafters and Customer Service to ensure accuracy and best practices of the designed product or concept for the organization.
Essential Functions of a CAD Drafter:

• Will be trained to design pools and the required supplemental drawings for pool installation.
• Will be trained to design the preliminary drawings required for the custom entryways and seating areas.
  Training will include Cardinal drawing standards as well as ISPSC codes.
• Basic understanding of process and flow
• Training on production standards and products
• Learn to work with rough sketches that are supplied by the customer
• Responsible to maintain a level of quality that meets or exceeds the company quality initiative.
• Read, understand and follow all company work instructions, production standards, safety procedure and quality procedures, and SOP's.
• Demonstrate the ability to be open minded and flexible in thinking and execution of assigned tasks and receptive to new concepts or newly proposed/implemented procedures.
• Situations may arise such as meeting deadlines and working with customers to resolve issues
• Will work and communicate with a wide variety of people on various issues
• Maintain a level of quality that meets or exceeds the company standard.
• Monitoring or reviewing the existing standards, making or implementing suggestions that will further improve efficiency.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications for a CAD Drafter

• Degree or certification in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Aided Design
• Proven work or educational experience as a Drafter or similar role
• Previous manufacturing experience a plus
• Previous experience in AutoCAD

Following a 1-4 month in-office training period, this role offers the flexibility to work either remotely or from our Schuylkill Haven office.
