Purpose of Role
- The Performance Manager's role is to help execute at retailer with the CA plans to achieve maximum performance in Execution, Sales, Profit, Market Share, and People objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Accountable for driving end-to-end execution strategies to ensure goals are attained/exceeded. Drives distributor accountability.
- Identify risk and opportunities through reporting and collaboration with key stakeholders within the wholesaler and Diageo teams Points of Distribution (right brand, right account with EDGE data and local insights)
- Execute programming to deliver channel depletion, NSV, and market share growth in the SA universe
- Monitors performance accordingly with sales team leads and informs on reactive adjustments, e.g., blitzes and launch initiatives
- Deliver Strategic Accounts off premise quarterly AOP targets
- Performing business reviews with the VP and Director of Performance based on AOP targets with our Distributor partners.
- Establish excellent key account relationships with top retail partners to grow Diageo share.
- Distributor work withs, account calls, partnership presentations, and key account monitoring
- Responsible for developing and executing winning market share plans that enables sustainable growth as measured by Nielsen, IRI and distributor data.
- Oversee Diageo Retail Partnership program - daily agency management, Quarterly Business Reviews, trade visits, set monthly KPIs with agency team.
- Must have a strong awareness of the impact of environmental, social, and legal factors as they relate to the sales process.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree
- Persuasive sell, negotiation, & problem solving
- Complete understanding of beverage alcohol business math
- Ability to seek out brand growth opportunities through the lens of flawless execution, brand marketing opportunities and activation that creates consumer engagement
- Extremely positive; highly organized; excellent influencer; exhibits independence/needs little supervision; quick learner; and exhibits resiliency and tenacity in the face of challenge
