The Director of Performance Improvement/Risk Management: is responsible for the hospital-wide planning, directing, and organization of the PI/Staff Development activities and submission of reports to Administration, Medical Executive Committee, and the Governing Body; leads Performance Improvement Committee and implements improvement measures based on findings from trend analysis; monitors productivity and quality of departmental services, ensures adequate coverage, and provides education to staff; responsible for monitoring compliance with all State, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations and standards; assists with preparation for Joint Commission and other surveys and audits as necessary; coordinates educational events and provides employees the opportunity of improving skills and knowledge base by providing and facilitating in-services; collaborates with Human Resources regarding New Hire Orientation; acts as a liaison with the Infection Control Practitioner to ensure implementation and maintenance of a hospital-wide Infection Control Program; responsible for reviewing incident reports and conducting investigations as necessary to ensure optimum staff, visitor, and patient safety; is directly or indirectly involved in the planning, directing, and organization of staff development activities and submission of reports to the Performance Improvement Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and the Governing Body; collaborates with Human Resources regarding New Hire Orientation; is responsible to operate within with departmental budget.

Qualifications
Associate Degree from an accredited school or 2 years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting. Minimum two (2) years clinical experience in an acute psychiatric setting required; Minimum five (5) years preferred. Minimum three (3) years management experience preferred
