Job Summary:
Senior Operational Excellence Consultant will lead cross-functional projects to design or optimize Business Processes to improve overall performance of WellSense business operations. The Senior OE Consultant leverages skills in data gathering and analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis and other skills to develop repeatable process improvements that generate financial, operational or mission value for the organization. As part of the Transformation Team, the Senior OE Consultant will manage multiple initiatives across the company, that are of significant scope and complexity, crossing multiple functional areas.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:
• Leads, supports and facilitates cross-functional performance improvement initiatives that generate financial, operational or mission value for the organization
• Leads the definition, scoping, and chartering efforts for Business Process analysis/design projects related to process improvement initiatives
• Performs deep dive analysis of existing processes to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for efficiencies
• Identifies root causes of inefficiencies through research, data gathering and analysis, process mapping, surveys and other tools as appropriate
• Works closely with business leaders to design business and system solutions that meet the company’s strategic objectives and leadership vision
• With business leaders, implements complex process solutions, and then ensures that they perform as expected prior to turn over to business for ownership
• Designs and implements methods to measure success of process improvements
• Supports the expansion and development of continuous improvement and Business Process Engineering skills across specific divisions and the enterprise, promoting the understanding and use of process improvement tools and concepts
• Works with program and project teams to identify and maintain scope and deliver based on agreed upon schedules and resource availability Develops best practice policies, processes, procedures and work instructions that enable continuous improvement
• Identifies key performance indicators and other quantifiable measures to ensure successful monitoring after turnover of business ownership
Supervision Exercised:
· Indirect supervision of 5-10 staff on project teams
Supervision Received:
· Direct supervision from a Manager is received weekly.
Qualifications:
Education Required:
• Bachelor Degree in Business or Industrial/Process Engineering or equivalent experience
Education Preferred:
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt , Lean or Business Process Analysis certification
Experience Required:
• 5+ years of experience leading Business Process improvement projects
• 3+ years of experience with a healthcare payer or provider
Experience Preferred/Desirable:
• Experience delivering performance improvement projects through a structured model, such as Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) or Lean Six Sigma
• Demonstrated use of industry Process Engineering tools (SIPOC, VOC, Process Mapping, VA/NVA, Waste)
• 3+ Experience with Medicaid or Medicare managed Health care or health plan
Required Licensure, Certification or Conditions of Employment:
· Successful completion of pre-employment background check

• Knowledge of Business Process modeling / process mapping concepts and components and their respective application
• Ability to use analytics, including statistics, to inform process optimization projects
• Strong meeting facilitation skills, including with large groups and senior leaders
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) required to effectively maintain strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues
• Able to gather multiple pieces of complex information, synthesize into quantifiable business options and make recommendations to the business/ project team for decision
• Ability to understand the complete business operations and processes for which we are improving, the adjacent upstream/ downstream impact, as well as impacts to other business that are adjacent to the targeted Business Process
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal through collaborating across roles and diverse groups
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities

• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Visio, Outlook)
• Experience in business intelligence tools (Tabelau, SAS, SQL) preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Ability to work East Coast business hours.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
No or very limited physical effort required.
