Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Business Process Engineer

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is an remote position available in the following states: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington (state), West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

The Business Process Engineer within the Automation Center of Excellence (COE) plays a pivotal role in optimizing existing workflows and preparing them for automation. Leads process improvement efforts with measurable outcomes such as cost savings, revenue capture, improved quality, and risk reduction. Collaborates with Business Process owners to identify opportunities for improvement, providing insights and recommendations to enhance overall process effectiveness. Demonstrates a strong background in relationship management, consulting, or business development within a technical discipline, must be able to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances, and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.

Job Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Analysis:
  • Partner with Business Process owners to identify and analyze process improvement opportunities.
  • Determine appropriate methods or technologies for addressing identified opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the development team resources to ensure a smooth transition from process optimization to automation.

Leadership and Documentation:
  • Lead collaborative business discussions guiding the formulation of business requirements documents, detailing process redesign and technology implementation.
  • Lead feasibility analyses and business case development for new processes.
  • Develop and document UAT plans for process improvement tech releases.

Project Management and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with project management, software development, and operations teams to prioritize, design, and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Lead process improvement efforts to deliver measurable outcomes, including cost savings, revenue capture, improved quality, and risk reduction.

Additional Competencies and Skills:
  • Demonstrated success in leading process improvement efforts with measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate dynamic business environments.


Required
:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in areas of IT/business relationship management, information technology and/or business analysis and Process Engineering or other related experience.
  • Experience working in the Healthcare industry.
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Familiarity with automation technologies (RPA, BPM...) and their integration into Business Processes.

For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied:
$106,158.00 to$176,930.00 / annually.
