Business Process Analyst – Public Utilities

Sabot Consulting is currently seeking a Business Process Analyst that will play a critical role in optimizing our business operations by analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, map processes, and drive initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities:

• Provide development and documentation of project vision and strategic objectives.
• Interview internal/external stakeholders to understand how the current processes are utilized.
• Review existing internal processes and staff training documents.
• Understand and develop procedural mapping of Business Processes and workflow diagrams.
• Include staff input on system/process limitations and shortcomings.
• Facilitate discovery of system/process improvement opportunities.
• Review & assess functionalities, strengths, and weaknesses of the Business Processes, procedures, and practices.
• Perform gap analysis to include redundancy, bottlenecks, miscommunication, and differences between industry standards and current business practices.
• Develop recommendations to improve business operations for all stakeholders.
• Identify and prioritize the suggestions that have the highest impact on business operations.
• Identify recommendations for system improvements including functionalities, integration, compatibility, and support of current business practices.
• Propose opportunities for improved system design and efficiency.
• Identify pain-points and challenges (weaknesses).
• Compile the results of the assessment analyses into a written report and
• present findings.

Must Have:

• Conducted a Business Process review to determine the effectiveness of the current business practices.
• Experience with Paymentus (IVR and IWR), Infosend (bill print), GIS, Infinity Link (customer portal).
• Experience with Harmony, Online Utility Exchange, Service Link, Routeware
• Developed and matured CISCO phone systems, ProcedureFlow and finance systems integration (Workday and Teller)
• Proven experience (4 years) as a Business Process Analyst or similar role in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of Business Process modeling techniques, methodologies, and tools (e.g., BPMN, Lean Six Sigma, etc.).
• Proficiency in process mapping and analysis software (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of data.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Nice to have:

• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within budget.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of Business Process automation, workflow management systems, and ERP software is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
